SUB.:- NATIONAL EVENTS MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP-BANGLADESH.

 

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

I am to inform you that the National Events Management Workshop is scheduled to be held at National Scout Training Centre, Mouchak, Gazipur, Bangladesh from 5th to 9th April  2007.  The details in this regard are furnished below:-

 

1. Name of the Event                    : National Events Management Workshop

 

2. Dates                                  : 5th  to 9th April 2007

 

3. Venue                                 : National Scout Training Centre, Mouchak, Gazipur,

                                                  Bangladesh.(This training centre is nearly about 25 km.

                                                  from Zia International Airport and about 44 km. From

                                                  Dhaka & takes time 1.5 hours drive )

4. Aim                                     : To strengthen knowledge and skills in the area of events

                                                  management.

 

5. Objectives                          : By the end of the workshop the participants will be 

                                                  able to:

1.      Identify the importance of events management in Scouting.

2.      Explain:

-         Types of Events

-         Event Designing and Planning

-         Event Coordination

-         Event Marketing

-         Risk Management in Events

 

6. Accommodation                    : Twin –sharing in a dormitory.

 

7.  Who can participate            : Scout Volunteers and Professionals, Leaders in the field 

                                                  of events management(responsible to design/develop and

                                                  conduct small and large scale events).

 

8. Climate                               : Average high is 35 degree Celsius and the average low is

                                                  24 degree Celsius during April.

 

9. Inland Transportation          : Transportation between airport and the venue will be

                                                  arranged for all the participants on 4 April and venue to

                                                  airport on 10 April 2007.

10. Expenditures              : i) Caution Money            :- Rs. 3,000.00

                                                      (If selected and

                                                       not participated,Caution money

                                                       will not be refundable and

                                                       forfeited)

                                                  ii) Air Travel Expenses,

      Airport Taxes & other

      Expenses, etc.            :-Rs.25,856.00                                       

                                                 iii) Regn. Fee               :-Rs.   3,375.00

                                                     (US $75.00  Per Participant)

                                                                (The fee will cover inland

      transportation from the

                                                      airport to the venue and back,

      food and accommodation,

      workshop materials,tours,etc.)

The journey can also be  performed by land via Kolkata – in which case expenditure will be very less.

                             

11. Last Date of receiving application at National Headquarters:- 28th February 2007.

     

I request you to please send the nominations in the prescribed Proforma (enclosed) in respect of Scout Volunteers and Professionals, Leaders in the field of events management who are willing to spend the fees and are really deserving to participate in the National Events Management Workshop. Application received after 28th February 2007 may not be entertained.
