Sub: 6th APR SCOUT PHOTO CONTEST 2008.

 

            We have received a Circular No. 15, Series of 2008 dated 18th August 2008 from the Regional Director, A.P. Region. Details are as follows:

 

6th APR Scout Photo Contest 2008

 

            Scouts and Scouters in the Asia Pacific Region are invited to participate in the 6th APR Scout Photo Contest organized jointly by the Asia-Pacific Regional Public Relations Committee. The contest is intended to contribute in enhancing the visibility of scouting within the community through the collection of excellent pictures of Scouts in action, showing their positive and enjoyable aspects, and to improve their technical skills in photography by providing incentives for taking good pictures.

 

RULES:

 

  1. What Pictures? Photo shots showing various aspects of Scouting: Jamborees and field activities, skills and training, community work and services, etc- conveying the mission and core values of Scouting. Film or digital photos are accepted. Ideal resolution is 300 ppi for digital photos. Maximum Print-out size is A4.
  2. Who can participate? Scouts and Scout Leaders registered with a NSO in the Asia Pacific Region.
  3. Where to send? To the World Scout Bureau/ Asia Pacific Regional Office through the National Scout Organisation in the Country.
  4. Who selects the winners? An International panel of Professional Photographers.
  5. What are the Prizes? Plaques for One Gold Prize, Two Silver Prizes and Three Bronze Prizes will be given. Winning entries will grace the posters for 2009. the six winning entries and six other finalists will be featured at the 2009 APR Calendar, with photo credits. Prizes are awarded at major gatherings in the region.
  6. Rights:  - All photos entries shall not be returned.- The right to use the photos for publication, exhibition and other scout activities belongs to WOSM and its members.- Each photo must have an Entry Form properly filled up and attached to the photo.

 

NOTES

 

·         All pictures entered the contest shall not be returned (unless specially requested).

·         Negatives or digital data of prize winning pictures will be requested by the organizers.

·         The right to use winning pictures for publication, exhibition, and other scout activities belong to the WOSM and its members.

·         Each picture must have the Entry Form cut out or copies (See attached form) properly filled in necessary information and pasted on the backside of the photo.

 

 

CLOSING DATE: All the entries should reach the National Headquarters, New Delhi not later than 01st October 2008.
