SUB.:- Celebration of Thinking Day & World Brotherhood Day-22nd February 2007.

 

Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Greetings & Best  wishes from the National Headquarters.

 

A day of  thought action and sharing is coming closer like every year. This year also let us celebrate the Joint Birthday of Lord & Lady Baden Powell on 22nd February 2007 with more commitment. This is the centinary year celebration.

 

This year WAGGGS has announced the theme for World Thinking Day 2007.

“Discover your potential by Taking the lead, growing friendship and speaking out.”

 

World Thinking Day 2007 focused our attention these three exciting core aims so that many more girls worldwide can develop leadership skills in a friendly and supportive environment, build their self esteem and take action on issues that affect them.

 

For further information for  world thinking day 2007 website www.worldthinkingday.org is up and running. Here you will find a variety of resources to help you prepare and celebrate. The website also has pages on which girls and leaders can have their say, put forward programme ideas and fund raising suggestions.

 

The funds raised helps the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to expand develop and launch vital initiatives to tackle issues such as HIV/AIDS, food and nutrition and adolescent reproductive health and to support girls and young women throughout the world.

 

Therefore a small token of appreciation of your support will be highly appreciated. The fund collected will be sent to WAGGGS.

 

To make the celebration enjoyable and memorable you can organise camps, seminars, cartoons competitions , quiz on the above said theme and send the reports with photographs and Thinking day fund should be sent in the name of the Director, The Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi for onward transmission to WAGGGS.
