SUB.:- 12TH KOREA JAMBOREE.

 

Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Wishing you a Happy & Prosperous New Year  2008.

 

We are glad to inform you that 12th Korea Jamboree will be held on 7-12 August 2008. Below  is the preliminary information of the Jamboree.

 

Name of the Event : 12th Korea Jamboree .

 

 

Dates                          : 7th to 12th August 2008.

 

 

Venue                         : World Jamboree Site in Mt. Sorak, Gangwon-do, Korea.

                                      (4 hours by bus from Incheon International Airport. Located in

                                      the  mid-eastern part of the Korean Peninsula and flanked by the

                                      sea and mountains. Gangwon-do is full of natural attractions.)

                                      

Dates of Reporting             : 7th August 2008 at Jamboree Site .

 

 

Date of Relieving            : 12th August 2008.

 

 

Eligibility                    : Scouts and Guides aged 12-17 years and adult leaders.

 

 

Climate                       : Generally good (22 degree celcius -31 degree celcius)

                                      with occasional rain.

 

 

 

 

Fees                            : Caution Money                         : Rs. 3000.00

                                      (If selected and not participated,

                                       Caution Money will be forfeited)

 

                                      Registration Fee –US$200              :Rs. 8200.00

                                      (The fee covers food rations, tentage,

                                      Activities, Jamboree souvenirs,

                                      Insurance, and inland transportation

                                      between Airport and Jamboree site.)

 

                                     Air Fare from Delhi to Korea                      :Rs.31000.00 Approx.

                                     (Subject to change at the time of

                                      Booking.)

                                     Airport taxes, etc.                                 :Rs.  6500.00 Approx.

Home Hospitality            : Home Hospitality for a maximum of 3 days before or after the

                                      Jamboree will be arranged for overseas participants who are

                                      willing to have more experiences in Korea.

 

Highlights                   : Opening Ceremony - 8th August 2008 at 20.00 hours.

                                       International Night - 9th August 2008 at 20.00 hours.

                                       Closing Ceremony - 11th August 2008 at 20.00 hours.

 

Last Date                   : 15th March 2008.

 

You are requested to send the nominations of interested Scouts ,Guides and adult leaders in the prescribed proforma (copy enclosed) to the Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi on or before 15th March 2008.
