SUB.:- APR ROVER PEACE BATON HANDOVER CEREMONY.
Dear Sir/ Madam,
The Boy Scouts of the Philippines will handover the Rover Peace Baton to the Asia Pacific Region at the Andres Bonifacio Shrine, Manila, Philippines. This grand event will finally end the journey of the Rover Peace Baton and welcoming the Centenary Year of World Scouting-2007. I am glad to inform you that the Asia Pacific Region Rover Peace Baton Handover Ceremony in commemoration of the Centennial Celebration of World Scouting-2007 is scheduled to be held at Andres Bonifacio Shrine, Manila, Philippines from 9th to 11th March 2007. The details in this regard are furnished below:-
1. Name of the Event : APR Rover Peace Baton Handover Ceremony.
2. Dates : 9th to 11th March 2007
3. Venue : Andres Bonifacio Shrine, Manila, Philippines.
4.Transportation : Transportation will be arranged from Airport to the
campsite by Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
5. Accommodation : The Boy Scouts of the Philippines will offer free
accommodation at the Tamaraw Hostel(Third floor
of the National Headquarters) in shared accommodation
on first come, first serve basis. For those who will prefer
to stay in YMCA or in hotels in Manila, the rates vary
between US $25.00 – US $ 200.00 per room per person.
6. Eligibility :Rover Peace Baton Coordinator and Rovers only who
made this activity a great success. (This will be a great
opportunity for the Rover Scouts to interact with fellow
Rovers from other NSOs and to witness the Rover Peace
Baton Handover Ceremony.
7.Programme : The following activities will be conducted in this event
are given below:-
1. Rappeling
2. Team Games
3. Medical Mission
4. Emergency Service
5. Community Service
6. Traffic Assistance
7. Rover Vigil and Investiture
8. Rover Discovery/Film showing
8. Expenditures : i) Caution Money :- Rs. 3,000/-
(If there is selected and
not participated,Caution money
will not be refundable and
forfeited)
ii) Travel Expenses :- Rs. 48,000/-
iii) Regn. Fee :- Rs. 4,500/-
(US $100.00 Per Participant)
(The fee covers inland transportation between Manila airport and BSP Tamaraw Hostel, meals for three days e.g.from breakfast of 09 March to dinner of 11 March and accommodation at the Tamaraw Hostel,Manila )
iv) Airport Taxes,& other

9. Climate : Climate in the Manila, Philippines during the month of
March is about 23-26 degrees Celsius.
