SUB:  9TH INTERNATIONAL GATHERING FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGE – CAIRO EGYPT.

 

Dear Sir/Madam,

We have received an invitation from Arab scout Region of World Scout Bureau for participation in 9th International Gathering for Cultural Exchange programme in Cairo Egypt from 21-31 Aug 2006. Details of the Programme are as follows.

 

NAME OF THE EVENT

:

9TH INTERNATIONAL GATHERING FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME – CAIRO EGYPT.

 

DATES

:

FROM 21ST TO 31ST AUGUST 2006

 

VENUE

:

CAIRO INTERNATIONAL SCOUT CENTRE, GIZA-ALBEHRIA

 

ELIGIBILITY

:

Senior Scouts/Rovers between 16 to 22 years, having very good command in English, physically fit – who can walk 15 k.m. in Desert and represent Indian culture & heritage at International level may apply.

 

SELECTION

:

Selection of two candidates on merit basis will be done at National Headquarters. These two selected Scouts/Rovers will be provided free hospitality in the Programme from 21-31 Aug 2006. If participants are reporting before, or staying for extra days, they will have to pay US Dollar 20 per day for accommodation and US Dollar 8 for each Lunch/Dinner. Other than two selected candidates will have to pay US Dollar 150 to attend the programme. No Free hospitality to these extra candidates will be provided.

 

EXPENDITURE

:

Following Expenditures will occurred for participation for the selected candidates.

Caution Money:  (Refundable to the participants after adjusting any extra expenditure occurred for Air ticketing, Accommodation, Uniform accessories. Candidates once selected and not participated 50 % of caution deposits will be forfeited.)                                                                                  Rs.3,000/-

Air Fare approximately (subject to revision by the Airlines) Rs.30,000/-

Visa & Airport Tax etc.                                                            Rs.5,000/-

                                                                           TOTAL       Rs.38,000/-

Camp Fee US Dollar 150 (from extra candidates)                   Rs.7,000/-

                                                                         TOTAL          Rs.45,000/-

 

Applications of selected candidates must reach to the National Headquarters on or before 30th June 2006. Late received applications will not be considered for selection as sponsored candidate for free hospitality.
