Scout Associations.

Sir/Madam,

Greetings from the Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi, India.

Requests are being received from some of the SAARC Countries at the National Headquarters for deputing additional number of participants over and above the allotted numbers (12+12+2) for 7th SAF Scout Friendship Camp being held at National Youth Complex, Gadpuri, District Palwal, Haryana.

We would have welcomed the extra number of participants in the aforesaid event, but in view of the pandemic H1N1 Virus in a large number of countries including in India, it has been decided to keep this number to the minimum. It would therefore be not advisable to depute extra participants than prescribed for this event.

In this context, it is also requested that all the Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers and others including leaders participating in the aforesaid event are properly screened for H1N1 Virus at your level before they proceed for the event, in order to ensure that they do not have the symptoms of this Virus and further complications on their reporting for the camp are avoided. We shall be arranging to screen the participants for the symptoms of H1N1 Virus when they report for the Camp and necessary action to Quarantine them or send them back will be taken as per medical advice. We hope that requisite check being exercised at your level before sending the participants will help us to avoid any complications and inconvenience.

Thanking for your cooperation.

                                                                             Yours Sincerely,

                                                                             (B. K. BAHUGUNA)
