Dear Madam/ Sir,

 

            We are glad to inform you that the Guides and Scouts of Finland is Celebrating the 100 years Old Scout and Guide movement in Finland as “Kilke” which will be held at Evo Camp site in Southern Finland, near the town of Hameenlinna from 28th July 2010 to 5th August 2010.

 

The details of the Jamboree are as under:

How to Reach

:

Kilke will be set in Evo Camp site in Southern Finland, near the town of Hameenlinna. The nearest Airport are in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland (135 Km to the South) and Tampere (110 Km to the North). Boat is also available to Helsinki or Turku (190 Km from the Southwest) from several cities around the Baltic Sea.

 

Fee for Participants

:

The Camp fee is 225€. This includes the transportation from the airport and harbours of Helsinki, Turku and Tampere to the Kilke Camp site.

 

Eligibility

:

Scouts/ Guides/ Rovers/ Rangers between the age of 12-22 years and Adults 22 years and above can also participate in the ratio of 10: 1. 1 Unit Leaders for 10 (participants). They must have a good command in English language are eligible.

 

Programme

:

Traditional Camping, Hanidcraft Skills, Overnight Hike, Globle Development Village. All participants will have a programme of their own age group: Trackers (12-15 years old), Explorers (15-17 years old) and Rovers (18-22 years old). The programmes of the rover includes service and leadership task. Adults will be in leadership positions or in the service team. All participants will take part in the International Programmes includes a sauna evening, an International Campfire and Excursions to the nearby towns. All participants have a possibility to participate in either a home hospitality or a tour of Finland after the Camp.

Airfare from Delhi- Mumbai- Nairobi, Kenya and Back (Subject to change)

Transportation from Nairobi  Kenya  to Campsite to be borne by the participants.
