SUB:  21ST WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE – HYLAND PARK CHELMSFORD UK.

REF:   NHQ CIRCULAR NO. 118 DATED 30.11.05 & 27 DATED 18.04.2006

 

Dear Sir/Madam,

With reference to above-mentioned Circulars we request you to recommend the applications of Scouts/Guides for participation on priority basis. States are recommending applications to work as IST Members, without having any application of the participant. Please note that the IST members will be selected in 60/40 Ratio - 60% Scouts/Guides and only 40% IST Applications could be considered for selection. No IST will be selected extra or out of 60/40 Ratio. No IST will be selected from those States, which are recommending applications for IST but not recommending for participation of the Scouts/Guides. Age limit may kindly be kept in the mind while recommending application of IST. Jamboree organiser prefers to get services of young leaders between the age of 18 to 25 years. Above the age of 55 years will only be selected if Jamboree Director is agree to accept any IST as a special case for specific job. Hence, there is very less possibility for the selection to a old aged IST. Old age members who are interested to visit Jamboree may stay outside and apply for visiting entry pass to visit Jamboree.

Advance 25 Pounds must be sent along with the Caution money it means Rs.2,000/- (25 Pounds) + Rs.3,000/- caution money (subject to actual exchange rate to purchase Pounds, applicable on the day amount is deposited). BalanceRS.8,500/- for registration should be deposited before 30th October 2006. Candidates applying after 30th October 2006 and before 15th Nov 2006 will have to pay Rs.3,000/- + Rs.2,000/- with application and balance RS.9,000/- before 30th March 2007. No application will be received after 31st Dec 2006.

So far IST fees is concerned, 40% candidates of the Registered Scouts/Guides for participation in World Scout Jamboree will be accepted as per following details: -

 

For the Age of 18-25 years IST

             Total Registration fees 98 Pounds – to get 5% discount, 25 Pounds to be deposited before 30th June 2006 and balance 68 Pounds be deposited before 31st Oct 2006. Approximately RS.2,000/- + Rs.5,500/- Total Rs.7,500/-. Pounds 98 (subject to the actual exchange rate applicable on the day amount deposited), caution money is not a part of Registration fees.

For the age of 18 to 55 years IST

            Total Registration fees 112 Pounds, to get 5% discount, 25 Pounds to be deposited before 30th June 2006 and balance 81 Pounds be deposited before 31st Oct 2006 approximately Rs.2,000/- + Rs.6,500/- = RS.8,500/- (subject to the actual exchange rate applicable on the day amount deposited). Caution money is not a part of Registration fees.

            Please do not recommend application to work as IST if your state is not recommending application of the Scouts/Guides for participation in order to 60/40 Ratios.
