Operation One World – 21st World Scout Jamboree.
Sir,
The
Scout Association (U.K.) will hold 21st World Scout Jamboree at the
Hyland Park,Chelmsford on 27 July – 9 August 2007. A solidarity fund under the name
‘Operation one World’ has been set up to help
Scouts who would not otherwise be able to attend to participate in the Jamboree.
The Bharat Scouts & Guides
has been selected to nominate
4(four) Scouts who are eligible to participate in the aforesaid
historical event with the following criteria:-
i)
Scouts and
Guides both are eligible for nomination/registered with the units
ii)
They must be
aged between 14 and 17 years old on 27th July,2007,( that is those
born between 28th July 1989 and 27th July 1993)
iii)
Scouts/Guides
should preferably be President’s Scouts & Guides but in no case less than
Tritya Sopan Scout/Guide
iv)
Scouts/Guides
whose parents are living below poverty line and are not affordable to attend
the Jamboree by their own means.
The selected participants will be
provided :-
i)
Round trip
Economy class Airfare
ii)
Jamboree fee
iii)
Visa fee(if
necessary)
You are therefore requested kindly
to recommend name of one Scout or Guide who fulfils aforesaid conditions latest by 31-1-07 from your State
and furnish his/her details in the following proforma:-
