Sub: Thailand International Camporee 2008.

 

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

            We are happy to inform you that the Thailand International Camporee 2008 will be held at Mon come on camp, Chiangmai, Thailand from 27th December 2008 to 1st January 2009.

 

Below are the basic information of the Thailand International Camporee 2008.

Eligibility

:

Scouts aged between 13 to 17 years old. Each patrol should consist of ten Scouts and one Adult Leader.

International Service team (IST) should be above 18 years and above.

 

Theme

:

“ Scouting Think Earth”.

 

Programme Highlights

:

A wide variety of activities will be offered, both on-site and off-site such activities as: Camp life Activity, Pioneering, Challenge Valley, Overnight & survival Hiking, Night Compassing, Craft & Cultural, Friendship Games, New Year Party and making new friends with Scouts from many countries.

 

Fee

:

Caution Money:                               Rs.  3,000.00

Registration FeeUS $ 100.00:         Rs.  4,500.00 approx. INR (subject to change)

Airfare Delhi-Chiangmai and Back:Rs.35,500.00 approx. subject to change.

Total:                                                  Rs. 43,000.00 Approx.

 

Transportation

:

Transportation will be arranged from Chiangmai International Airport, Chiangmai Railway Station, Chiangmai bus terminal to campsite and during pre or post- Camporee activity.

 

How to reach

:

Direct flights to Chiangmai International Airport from Delhi is available via Bangkok.

 

Weather

:

Temperature in December during day time will around 25 Degree to 30 Degree Centigrade and 12 Degree to 17 Degree Centigrade during night time.

 

What to bring

:

Participants should bring personal camping equipment, including sleeping bag, cutlery, Torch, rain gear. Tents will be provided during the Jamboree.

 

Pre- Post Camporee Activity

:

USD 50.00 per day/ per participants for pre or post camporee activity. It includes moderate accommodation in a hotel in the city, city tour and local/ traditional dinner for those who plan to stay before or after the Camporee.
