SUB.:- INTERNATIONAL AGOONOREE-2007.

 

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

I am glad to inform you that the International Agoonoree-2007  in commemoration of  the Centennial Celebration of World Scouting is scheduled to be held at Jeju Island,Korea from 24th to 27th May  2007.  The details in this regard are furnished below:-

 

1. Name of the Event                    : International Agoonoree-2007

 

2. Dates                                  : 24th  to 27th May 2007

 

3. Venue                                 : Jeju Island, Korea

 

4.Transportation                    : Transportation will be arranged from Jeju International

                                                  Airport to the campsite.

 

5. How to Reach             : From Incheon International Airport

                                                  You can take the shuttle bus or taxi from Incheon

                                                  International Airport  to Gimpo Domestic  Airport and

                                                  then take the daily flight to Jeju International Airport.

 

                                                 From Japan, China and Taiwan

                                                 There are direct flights from Tokyo, Fukuoka, Nagoya,

 Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Kaohsiung to Jeju   

 International Airport.

 

6. Eligibility                            : Young people both Boys and Girls with special needs

                                                   aged 12-18 years and adult leaders.

 

7.Programme                          : Programme of activities for the Agoonoree are given

                                                  below:-

Off-Site Activities includes: climbing activity at Mt.Halla,Oreum Hiking, Cave Adventure, Historical Site Tour, Jeju Tour.

On-Site Activities includes: Taekwondo,Fire Fighting Practice, Silk Screening, Handicraft, Cotton Candy making, Science Camp will feature making of Water Rocket, Sepaktakraw , Block Ground, Soap Bubble and Pyramid. Challenge activities will include Survival Shooting game, ATV, Horseback Riding and environmental activities will feature Recycling and visiting abandoned areas. 

 

8. Expenditures              : i) Caution Money            :- Rs. 3,000.00

                                                      (If selected and

                                                       not participated,Caution

       money will not be refundable

       and forfeited)

                                                  ii) Travel Expenses         

       including Airport taxes

       & other charges            :- Rs. 50,000.00       

                                                 iii) Regn. Fee               :- Rs.   4,500.00

                                                     (US $100.00  Per Participant)

                                                                (The fee covers food rations,

      tentage, activities,souvenirs,

      inland transportation from the

                                                      airport to the venue and back,etc. )

9. Last Date of receiving application at National Headquarters:- 30th March 2007.

     

I request you please send the nominations in the prescribed Proforma (enclosed) of  best Scouts and Guides who are willing to spend the fees and are really deserving to participate in the International Agoonoree- 2007. Application received after this date may not be entertained.
