SUB.:- 18TH NEW ZEALAND JAMBOREE.

 

 

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

I am glad to inform you that the 18th New Zealand Jamboree is scheduled to be held at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Curletts Road, Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand from 28th December 2007 to 5th January 2008. The details in this regard are furnished below:-

 

1. Name of the Event                    : 18th New Zealand Jamboree

 

2. Dates                                  : 28th December 2007 to 5th January 2008

 

3. Venue                                 : Canterbury Agricultural Park, Curletts Road,

                                                  Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand.

 

4. Who can participate            : Scouts/Guides aged not older than 15 years 

                                                 who are active members of a Scout Troop/Guide

                                                 Company, and with camping experience. Venturer

                                                 Scouts, Rovers, Adult Leaders as Troop Leaders or

 Staff members.

 

5. Selection                             : Selection will be made absolutely on merits which may,

besides Scouting/Guiding qualifications, include    

proficiency in other co-curricular activities.

 

6. Adult Leaders                      : Unit Leaders may also send their applications. Final

                                                  selections will be made by the National Commissioner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7. Programme                         : There will be the opportunity to enjoy a

                                                              memorable experience with other scouts from near

                                                              and far, with  plenty of fun with both on-site and

                                                              off-site activities.These will include craft and

                                                              engineering skills,tramping and water activities  

                                                              (sea & pool), climbing walls, music,skateboards,

                                                              cycling, etc.

 

8. Expenditures                          : i) Caution Money            :- Rs. 3,000.00

                                                                    (If selected and not

                                                                    participated,Caution money

                                                              will not be refundable and

                                                              forfeited)

                                                              ii)Travel Expenses including      

                                                                       Local  Conveyance &

                                                                       Airport taxes,other

                Expenses, etc.             :-  Rs. 64,000.00 Approx.

                                                             iii)Food & Regn. Fee   :-Rs.  18,000.00 Approx.

9. Last Date of receiving application at National Headquarters:- 30th July 2007.

 

It is requested to please send the nominations in the prescribed Proforma (enclosed) of  eligible Scouts and Guides who are willing to spend the fees and are really deserving to participate in the 18th New Zealand Jamboree. Application received after this date may not be entertained.
