Sub:     National Integration Camp at NYC, Gadpuri from 20- 26 November 2009.

Ref:     Our Circular No. 97/ 2009 dated 14. 07. 2009.

 

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

            In continuation to the above cited Circular, once again we would like to remind that to celebrate 100 years of Scouting in India, a Special National Integration Camp is going to be organized at the National Youth Complex, Gadpuri, District Palwal, Haryana from 20- 26 November 2009. 7th SAF Scout Friendship Camp with 150 Scouts and Guides from SAARC Countries will also take place during the period at the same Venue. SAARC Countries Chief Commissioners will be visiting the camp during the Event.

 

 

It is therefore, requested that the States may select best contingents to participate in this event as per the Quota allotted and please ensure that the participants should come prepare along with full equipped materials and costumes to be presented in the following items.

 

1.      Folk Songs

(Instrument and Costume should be brought with you).

2.      Folk Dances.

(Instrument, Costumes and CD should be brought with you).

3.      Traditional Handicraft.

(Each Contingent should bring the materials to be prepared on the Spot).

4.      Traditional Food.

(Each Contingent should bring sufficient quantity of materials for Traditional Food Preparation and Presentation in the Food Plaza).

5.      Customs, Religions and Costumes.

6.      Cultural Heritage/ State Exposition.

(Each Contingent should bring Topography, History, People, Habits, Traditions, Language, Costumers including Dress, Jewellary, Headgear and other accessories, Festivals, Food Grains.

 

All the above items will be Special attraction of the Integration Camp and will be presented in front of SAARC Countries. So States should take initiative to depute the best ones.

 

 

 

 

 

The participants must report on 19th November 2009 before lunch. There will be a selection on same day for inauguration of the camp.

 

Kindly confirm your participation on or before 12th November 2009.
