SUB.:- Relief Measures for the Victims
of Floods in Laddakh Region of Jammu & Kashmir.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Your kind
attention is drawn to the appeal sent from National Headquarters, Bharat Scouts
& Guides vide our Circular No. 108/2010, dated: 11.08.2010(Copy enclosed)
for raising funds for the help of flash victims/cloud burst at Leh and other
areas of Laddakh and Jammu & Kashmir. It is hoped that all out efforts have been made/ are being made through
Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers/Unit Leaders/State Associations at all levels and
public to raise funds/donations for helping the victims of this unprecedented
natural calamity.
Rs. 1.00 Lac
donated by the National Headquarters, Bharat Scouts & Guides and
Rs.21,000/- by Jammu & Kashmir State Bharat Scouts & Guides to Chief
Minister’s Relief Fund will be presented to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat by
Shri N. A. Khan, State Chief Commissioner, Jammu & Kashmir State Bharat
Scouts & Guides. We have not received any information in this regard from
other State Associations of Bharat Scouts & Guides.
It is therefore
once again appealed that the funds raised may be sent to Chief Minister’s
Relief Fund, Jammu & Kashmir through State Chief Commissioner, J & K
and if the donations are sent directly to Chief Minister’s Secretariat, a copy
of the same may be sent to Shri N. A. Khan, State Chief Commissioner, J & K
State Bharat Scouts & Guides under intimation to the National Headquarters for purpose of consolidating the total contribution made by Bharat Scouts &
Guides.
