Sub:- Rashtrapati Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger Rally 2010.

 

Madam/ Sir,

 

            It is a great pleasure to inform you that the Hon’ble President of India has kindly agreed to present Rashtrapati Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers Certificates on 14th July 2010 at 11.00 A.M at the Rashtrapati Bhawan for the year 2009. The Ceremony will take place at the Ashoka Hall in Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 

            The awards for Adult Leaders Like Sliver Elephant, Bar to Silver Star, Sliver Star , Gallantry and Thanks Badge will also be presented in the same function.

 

            Since the seating capacity is limited it has been decided to call a limited number of Scouts, Guides, Rover and Ranger from each State who participated in the Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers Award Test in the year 2009. In any case the number of Participants in the Rally should not be more than the number mentioned here under.

States are at liberty to set their own criteria for selecting the Representative Award winners belonging to the 2009 year mentioned above. The Scouts and Guides from each state will be accompanied by an Adult Leader either from Scout wing or Guides wing, who should be chosen very carefully keeping in view the fact that one Leader will have the responsibility for escorting participants from Scout wing as well as the Guide wing. It may further be ensured that Scouts/Guides, Rovers, Rangers being sent by you should be actual Awardees for the above year and no one should be sent who is not an Awardee for either of the 2009 year. If any non Awardees is sent, he/she will not be allowed in the Rally Camp and the Award function.

 

The Certificate awardees and adult leader accompanying them should be in their complete and correct uniform and are expected to demonstrate high sense of discipline during the Rally and the Award function. 

 

 

The following details may please be noted for participation in the Rally. Which will be held at N.Y.C Gadpuri, as a preparation for the Award function:-

            It may please be ensured that the number of participants should not exceed the quota given above. There will be only one escort either Scout Leader or Guide Leader and no guest or any other person over and above the number given above will be permitted. There will be separate invitations cards by name for senior functionaries like National Office bearers, State Chief Commissioners etc. who would like to attend and intimate such desire in advance.

 

You are accordingly requested to select the number of Scouts/Guides/Rovers and Rangers and Unit Leaders as allotted above and send their names latest by  05th July 2010 to the National Headquarters.

 

Reservation for Train/Bus in respect of yours Scouts and Guides may please be made as per schedule.

 

Since certificates for Scouts and Guides for the year 2009 have already been sent to most states on their specific request, you are requested to ensure that the Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers coming to attend the function are given a bundle of at least _20_Certificates (10 each for Scout and Guides respectively including the certificates of Scouts and Guides being sent to receive the Certificates at the function). Similar action needs to be taken in respect of Rovers and Rangers Certificates in case of those states who had requested for the certificates to be sent to them.
