Madam,
As per schedule of events of Bharat
Scouts & Guides, National Headquarters, the Mapping cum Star Gazing Course will
be organized at N.T.C. Pachmarhi from 6th to 10th
December, 2010. The aim of the course is to encourage the Scouting/Guiding
skills and to provide theoretical and practical knowledge on Map Craft and Star
Gazing. Details of the Course is as follows :

How to Reach |
National
Training Centre is at Pachmarhi. Pachmarhi is a beautiful Hill Station. Get
down at Itarsi, catch any train in the route ITARSI-JABALPUR which stops at
Pipariya station. Get down at Pipariya. Pipariya Bus Stop is just opposite to
Rly. Station. Get up to a Bus to come to Pachmarhi. The distance from
Pipariya to Pachmarhi is 56 Km. Buses and Taxies are available. NTC is five
Km from Pachmarhi bus stand. |

hospitality will be provided during the camp. CONCESSIONAL Train fare and
actual bus fare (were there is no Train service) will be reimbursed on
production of T.E.Bills along with Photocopies of Train tickets and Bus
tickets in original. Bring photocopies of train tickets. |

Who can
Attend |
Advanced
Trained Scouters / Guiders preferably HWB Trained who are running Unit
effectively. Who have interest in Mapping and Star Gazing and want to give
the same training to others in their state. |

What to
Bring |
2 Sets of
Uniform as per APRO II/III. Scouts Wing :
Black shoes, Black shocks, Nylex Belt
: Guide Wing : Black Shoes & Camel Colour socks,
Brown leather/Nylex Belt) should be brought. Usual Camp Kit :
Mosquito net, odomas tube, personal medicines, torch, bedding etc will be
suitable for the camp. Climate at NYC during December will be very cold. Warm
cloth, bedding will be useful. Books : APRO Part II/III, Scouting for
Boys; 3 Mtr. Knotting Rope. Note : Only BSNL mobile network is
working at Pachmarhi. |

respectively Scout / Guide wing = Total 8 each state. |
Application duly filled in and
recommended by state officials should reach NTC on or before 20th
November, 2010. Later comers will not be allowed. STCs are requested to take
immediate action to depute eligible candidates and make use of this
opportunity. Candidates will not be allowed to bring children/escorts with
them. Your co-operation is solicited.
