SUB.:- NATIONAL LEVEL TRIBAL/GRAMEEN SCOUTS/GUIDES,
ROVERS/RANGERS MEET
Dear Sir/ Madam,
To promote Scouting/Guiding in tribal and rural areas, National Headquarters is organizing a gala event for tribal Scouts/Guide of the tribal and rural areas of the country..The details of the event are as :-
NAME OF THE EVENT :NATIONAL LEVEL TRIBAL/GRAMEEN
SCOUTS/GUIDES,ROVERS/RANGERS MEET
VENUE : Bharat Scouts & Guides, State Training Centre, Vizianagaram, Andhra
Pradesh State.
DATE : From 27th March to 31st March, 2007
DATE OF REPORTING : 27th March before lunch
DATE OF DEPARTURE : 31st March after lunch
DEVELOPMENT FEE : Each participant has to pay Rs.50/- as Development Fee at the
time of Registration & Rs.100/- for Adult Leaders.
SPECIAL FEE :Rs. 30/- for each participants including Adult Leaders.
ELIGIBILITY :Tribal/Grameen Scouts/Guides, Rovers/Rangers of registered units, completed Tritya Sopan test/Nippun Badge in Scouting/Guiding will be eligible to participate in the meet.
WHAT TO BRING :Following materials must be brought by the participanrs:
INDIVIDUAL KIT:
Two sets of correct and complete uniform as
per APRO Part-II/III, light bedding, sleeping bag, plate, mug,spoon, water
bottle, torch, rope, toilet requisites, local traditional costumes, handicraft
items, materials for exhibition etc.
PATROL KIT:
Ground sheet,
bucket, lantern,jug,Gadget items, Patrol Flag, parat, Bhagona with lid, Service
spoon, kettle, musical instruments, drums to play, local costumes for festivals
and village fair, food ingredients etc.
FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE:
National Headquarters will reimburse the Second Class concessional
Train Fare and actual Bus Fare (On shortest route where there is no
train route) on production of photocopy of train tickets and bus ticket in
original.( No Taxi/Auto fare is allowed)
HOW TO REACH :Trains are available upto
Vizianagaram. Vizianagaram is on the rail route between Vishakapattnam &
khurda Road and Howrah line. Local Conveyance are available from Vizianagaram
Station. Camp site is just 3 K.M. from Rly. Station. For assistance you may
contact Rly. station or contact SHQ Tel No.040-27637959.
PROGRAMME
& ACTIVITIES: Following programmes and activities will be organised in the
meet:
Traditional village fairs, tribal food, festival in the villages,
folk
songs,
folk dances, traditional handicrafts, village bazar, rangoli,
wall
paintings, campfire, physical display, martial art, village
games,
exhibition, craft and cultural heritage of rural areas and
tribal
areas,playing on traditional musical instruments, drawing,
poem,
slogan and essay writing competitions, group discussions
and
youth forum.

participants may be deputed)
LAST DATE
OF APPLICATION TO NHQ: 10th March 2007
You
are requested kindly to send the list of participants according to your quota
to the State Secretary, BS&G, Andhra Pradesh State Headquarters, Domulguda
Valmiki Nagar, Hyderabad-500029. with a copy to Joint Director(S) at National
Headquarters on or before 10th March 2007. If you are not utilizing
the allotted quota please inform us in time so that additional quota may be
allotted to bigger States.
