SUB: 2nd Special National Jamboree
2007 for Centenary year of Scout Movement Bharat Scouts and Guides to be held
at Burari Ground, New Delhi.
Ref: Our Circular No: 80, dated: 20.09.2007
Dear Sir/Madam,
We hope, you have started making
preparations for active participation of your state Contingent in the coming 2nd
Special National Jamboree 2007 for Centenary year of Scout Movement to be held
at Burari Ground, New Delhi.
In continuation to our Circular No: 80,
dated: 20.09.2007 further details pertaining to the Jamboree are as follows:
Formation of Contingent: The usual
pattern of formation of Patrol as per APRO will be followed. A troop/company of 32 (4 Patrols with Patrol Leaders)
with One Scouter/Guider and One Asstt. Leader.Total 34 per troop/Company.
Contingent Leader separate for both wings.
How to Participate: State Contingent will send information of
participations per quota allotted to them, stating composition of contingent as
per proforma attached.
What to Bring: Contingent kit:
1.
Two Bharat Scouts
& Guides Flags (one for hoisting
and another for March past).
2.
Two Name Plates of
state size 16” x 9”.
3.
Colour party material.
4.
Equipment for
activities to display and demonstration in Global Development Village,
Exhibition, Physical Display, Pioneering Project, State Exposition.
5.
Necessary, Costumes,
Musical Instruments for Folk Dance, Camp-fire etc.
6.
First Aid and Medicine
Box.
Individual Kit: Two set of Scout/Guide uniform, Sleeping Bag,
Rucksack, Torch, water bottle, Compass, Personal Requisites, Plate & Mug,
Spoon and other Equipment necessary for participation in Adventure activities.
Camp kit: Buckets, Utensils for cooking, Durries, Gadget
materials, Decoration material, Camp tools, Hurricane etc.
Activities: The Jamboree will be full of Challenging
activities with plenty of enjoyment for Scouts and Guides, Jamboree Programme.
Fun Activities:
Adventure
Valley and Adventure Park.
Service
oriented activities (CD)
Integration
based programmes and games
Parasailing.
Food
Plaza.
State Level Activities: Group
Activities (Wing wise)
(Wing wise) March past, Colour Party, State Gate, Camp
Craft, Cleanliness, Band display, Campfire and Back Woodsman cooking.
Common State Level Activities (joint for both the wings):
Group Activities
(joint for both the wings) Folk Dance, Group Songs, Physical Display,
Exhibition, State Exposition, Pegeant show, Global Development Village,
Pioneering Project, Parasailing over all discipline (including adult leaders)
Judging System: A panel of Judges at the State Level will
judge Group Activities.
Grade
Certificate with penant will be given to those states, which are achieving
Grade-A in the above subjects;
1.
The State Achieving
highest marks in wing wise Group activities will be awarded Chief
Commissioner’s Shield.
2.
The State achieving
highest marks in Joint Group activities will be awarded National Commissioner
Flag to the State.
Note-Details
of the activities will be given in the Bulletin No: 2.
Accommodation:
One Tent will be provided for every 8 Scouts/Guides and One Leader.
Jamboree
will be divided in two parts 1. Scout wing 2. Guide wing. Separate
accommodation will be provided to the Scouts and Guides in the Camps.
Food Arrangement: Kitchen area will be provided for cooking in
each Sub- Camp. We encourage both wings to cook and dine separately. Joint
cooking will not be allowed.
Facilities: Bank will function in the Jamboree office area.
A well-equipped hospital with qualified doctors and nurses and dispensary
facility will be available at the Jamboree site. Ambulance will also be
available.
Contingents
are requested to come prepared with First-Aid material to cater the needs of
the members of the contingent for the journey period.
Postal Arrangement: Sub-Post Office with additional facilities of
STD/ISD/PCO Telegram, Cable will be set up in the Jamboree area: letter boxes
in each Sub-Camp will be put up and it will be cleared at an appointed time.
First day covers with cancellation will be available on sale.
We
assure about the adequate water supply and sanitation arrangements in the
Jamboree.
Transport: Transport will be made available from
Rly.Station New Delhi & Delhi to Jamboree Sub-Camp on payment.
Provision: Rice, Atta, Sugar and K.Oil will be made
available on subsidy rates and fresh Vegetables: Milk Provision will be
supplied at reasonable rates at the Jamboree Market.

All
Contingents to report on 25th December 2007 before Lunch. Returning
reservation may be made only on the 31st December late evening after
closing of function/ or on 1st January 2008 onwards.
