SUB: -9^TH SKATING TOUR

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am glad to inform you that the 9^TH Skating Tour will be held at National Adventure Institute of Bharat Scouts & Guides, Pachmarhi (M.P) from 01^st to 05^th December 2007. Details about the event are as follows:

NAME OF THE COURSE : 9^TH SKATING TOUR

DATES : FROM 01^ST TO 05^TH DECEMBER 2007

VENUE : NATIONAL ADVENTURE INSTITUTE OF BHARAT SCOUTS

& GUIDES, PACHMARHI, MADHYA PRADESH-461881.

HOW TO REACH : The nearest Railway station is Pipariya. The distance from

Pipariya to Pachmarhi is 56 K.M. Buses are available from

Pipariya to Pachmarhi. Numbers of Private Jeeps are also

available on nominal rate. The Adventure Institute is just 5 K.M.

from Pachmarhi Bus stand. Local Conveyance available to reach

NAI from Pachmarhi Bus stand. For assistance contact Tel No. 07578-252350.

WHO CAN ATTEND : Scouts /Guides between the age 14-18 years and completed Rajya Puraskar,

having knowledge of skating and good health.

: Candidates should be physically fit and can bear the strain of Adventure. Each

candidate should submit physical fitness certificate from the appropriate

authority as well as one passport size photograph in Uniform.

DEVELOPMENT FEE : Development fee Rs 50/- per head will be charged at the time of

Registration in the camp from Scouts/Guides and Rs

100/- per head will be charged from Unit Leaders.

SPECIAL FEE : Rs 30/- per head will be charged at the time of Registration.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE : National Headquarters will reimburse the Second class

Concessional Train Fare and actual Bus Fare (On shortest route

Where there is no Train route) on production of photocopy of train

tickets and bus ticket in original. (No Taxi/Auto fare is allowed)

DATE OF REPORTING : 01^st Deecember 2007 before LUNCH

DATE OF DEPARTURE : 05^th December 2007 after LUNCH

MATERIALS TO BE

BROUGHT : Malaria Test report (Tested within a week before departure),

Application form, Medical & Risk Certificate as per Performa

attached. Two Sets of correct and complete uniform as per APRO

II & III, toilet requisites, Water bottle, torch, pen, note book/diary,

Mug, plate, spoon, odomos cream etc. Dress for cultural

Programmes for campfire, personal First Aid kit, Tracksuit, Jeans

Pant (Blue), T-Shirt (Grey), P-Cap, Sleeping bag, Bed-Sheet, Full

Sleeves Shirt, Mat/Plastic sheet, Knotting rope 3 mtrs, water

Purifying tablets, Ruck sack/ Haver sack, comfortable sports shoe,

Raincoat, warm clothing’s (During December,Pachmarhi will be cold and temperature

of the area will be around 5-10 degree) and personal dress and other materials

required for the camp.

A pair of Roller Skates with shoe and safety kits is a must to be brought by each

participants. ( Compulsory)

QUOTA ALLOCATION : Each State is allotted a quota of 07Candidates.

03 Scout + 01 leader, 02 Guide + 01 leader. Total = 07

The list of participants should reach the National Adventure Institute of Bharat Scouts & Guides,

Pachmarhi on or before 30^th November2007 positively with a copy to the undersigned.
